Get a free castle in Italy
In order to try to boost tourism and encourage people to fix up historic buildings, Italy's State Property Agency is giving away 103 run-down properties, including villas, inns, and castles – for free! The only catch is that the new owners have to promise to restore the old buildings and open them up for visitors. Sounds like a win-win!
More rigorous electronics screenings have begun
While the US is still throwing around the idea of banning laptops and other large electronic devices from ALL flights to/from the US, the only thing that has gone into affect in the United States so far is enhanced electronics screenings at 10 airports. If you're flying through one of these airports soon, be sure to allow extra time for security!

Hands up if you're still waiting on your letter from Hogwarts! ?? Well, I have good news! While I can't promise it will end at a magical castle, you CAN ride the Harry Potter train in Scotland. Its real name is the Jacobite Steam Train, and it was used as the Hogwarts Express in a few of the films. Who would totally geek out over this like I did?? ??⚡️
“I solemnly swear that I am up to no good…” Who can guess where I am?? ?⚡️?
Who needs a drone when you can go up in a helicopter instead? ?? Aerial shot taken above the American Falls at Niagara Falls – gorgeous when seen from above! Who else loves aerial photography? ?
Jurassic Park?!? Nope, just the wild interior of Tahiti. (Though I wouldn't have been at all surprised if a T-Rex had wandered out of the jungle – this place is epic!)

What I’m planning right now
Because my blog runs a little bit behind of what I’m currently doing, I figured I would use this monthly update to let you know what I’m up to, and what adventures are coming up next! (You can also find more detailed info in my monthly newsletter.)
June: Oregon – Elliot and I are heading out to Oregon this weekend to visit his sister, who lives in Bend. We’ll also road trip to some of the state’s other famous spots like Portland, the Columbia River Gorge, Crater Lake, and the Painted Hills.
July: Scandinavia – Europe, here I come! I'll be spending all of July in Europe, with trips currently planned in Norway and the Faroe Islands. And while I’m over in that part of the world, I’m thinking I should probably finally visit Copenhagen, too!
July: Ireland – After Scandinavia, I'll be hopping over to Ireland to do a trip with Shamrocker Tours. I'll be doing their 5-day “Giant's Rocker” that mostly concentrates on the Causeway Coast in Northern Ireland.
August: Road trip! – My sister and I are planning another road trip this summer in order to coincide with the solar eclipse on August 21. We’ve booked a hotel in Idaho for the eclipse, and plan to explore South Dakota, Wyoming, and Montana on the way – I'll finally be visiting Yellowstone!
